Obituary for Zelda Wible (Carbaugh)
Zelda Carbaugh Wible, 77, of Mercersburg, PA passed away January 9, 2023 in the York Hospital. Born November 23, 1945 in McConnellsburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Willie and Florence (Rhodes) Carbaugh.
Zelda attended McConnellsburg Area Schools. She was employed by TFP Data Systems retiring in 2007. She was a member of the Mercersburg Sportsman’s Club. Zelda enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, setting up at flea markets, and playing bingo.
She is survived by three children, Scott Wible (Kimberly) Stowell, TX, Regina Bivens (David) Mercersburg, PA and Richard Wible (Dove) Magnolia, TX; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Alvey Carbaugh (Betty) of Greencastle, PA and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Charles “Sonny” Wible who passed away in 2007; three brothers George, Herman, and Edgar Carbaugh; and three sisters Buelah Mellott, Dolly Jean Diffenderfer, and Virginia Wilbur.
