Obituary for Sherry Peterson (Humphrey)
Sherry D. Peterson, 74, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born October 22, 1947 in Albuquerque, New Mexico she was the daughter of the late Harold E. Humphrey and Betty J. Forsythe (Humphrey).
She enjoyed playing bingo, putting together puzzles, crocheting and needle pointing, crafting and most of all spending time with her family.
Sherry is survived by five children, Richard Lee Peterson, Jr. (Laura) of Mercersburg, PA; Theresa D. Vance (Aaron E. Vance, III) of Chambersburg, Rodney R. Peterson of Fayetteville, PA, Gina L. Hines (Keen) of Hershey, PA and Denise Ramirez (Tayo E. Abdul) of Harrisburg, PA; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five siblings, Sandra Johnson, William Humphrey, Donald Humphrey, Ruby Deshong and Gary Humphrey; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Lynn Dennis.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 4, 2022 in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201 with Rev. Garry Kipe officiating. Arrangements are by SimpleChoice Cremation Services, Inc.
