Obituary for Edward "Eddie" Miller Jr.
Edward J. “Eddie” Miller, Jr., 82, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 in his home. Born July 18, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Edward J. Miller, Sr. and Mildred (Knipple) Wright.
He attended Germantown Area Schools. Eddie served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. He was employed as a roofer in the Philadelphia area for 20 years. Most recently Eddie was a delivery man for Fisher’s Auto Parts, Fayetteville, PA.
Eddie was a Bronze Olympic Medalist in Boxing. He loved boating, being on the water by the shore and camping. He loved life and that reflected in the name of his boat “Luv-N-Life.” Eddie was a member of the American Legion and the VFW Post 1599 both in Chambersburg, PA.
He is survived by his wife, Margaretta “Greta” (Hoffman) Miller; two children, Chris Miller (Karen) and Ruth Martinez (Neighbor); two step-sons, Eric and Scott Baker; four siblings, Jean Rosenberry (Wayne), Shirley Miller, Jim Wright (Mary) and Darryl Wright (Ruby); and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
